tomorrow night at the ruby room two vivacious bands are playing that include our bass player, jon kanis, AND it’s his birthday AND we also celebrate the ruby room’s unveiling of jon’s newest collages making their home there.
i have heard both of these bands this week - to say they are on fun fire underestimates the experience

LTR is going to let me sit in on one of dave rizzuto’s songs with them!!!!!!

hello friends!
are you participating in election fever? attending the stewart/colbert rallies?
if not attending, we should all gather and watch the tube LIVE. who’s game?

for certain, we want you to come to the C St. home show
again!!!!!! it is looking like an annual gathering!

this year it is on the 13th of november, 6:30pm.
the show starts around 7pm.

and more assumptions performances are being considered and scheduled.
the first of which is C St.
3, maybe, 4 assumptions will be performing at the C St. home show on the 13th.

(our brilliant maestro, mike keneally will not be there :(
BUT if you are in italy you can see him play with joe satriani :) on the 12th in padova or on the 14th in rome.)

back stateside we will fill the C St. living room with assumptions and special guests. keep checking back for more performers will be announced soon!

oh! and a new song - ‘me to you’ – is cooking. Hopefully it will be ready for debut in november.

the assumptions blazed through their set, preserved digitally by the amazing videographer, steve laub.
the individual performances were astounding.
sara sterling previewed three songs from her brilliant work in progress, ‘lover’s world’.
charlie cheney charmed the audience into participation immediately and crooned his way through one of his newest compositions ’sleigh bells’ which ushered in the christmas o9 holidays.
mike keneally’s solo set was nothing short of magical, including renditions of ‘thanksgiving’ and the encore ‘father’s day’ that will occupy a place in our hearts forever.
jon kanis closed the evening, with keneally on bass, playing selections from ‘cabalistic dispatch’ - songs that haven’t been played by jon and mike together since 2005! ‘don’t stand there’ and ‘that’ were exceptional stand outs.
